Hall of Fame Description and Requirements
The criteria used to determine which athletes are eligible for the Hall of
Fame are:
- Must be a graduate of Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School.
- Must have graduated at least five years ago.
- Must have played at least two years of varsity sports.
- Must have achieved one or more of the following awards during their career
- All-Metro or All-City/County
- Team Most Valuable Player or similar award
- Recognized school award (such as C. Markland Kelly, Gus Smith,
Michelle Bevans, or Scholar Athlete awards)
- Recognized community award (such as McCormack Unsung Hero
and Catholic Review awards)
- All-Conference (or All-American/Shining Star for Cheerleading)
- Graduated as school’s all-time leader in a major statistical category
The criteria used to determine which coaches are eligible for the Hall of
Fame are:
- Must have coached at Our Lady of Mount Carmel for at least five years.
- Must have coached at least three years at the varsity level.
- Must have been a part of a championship season.
Members of the Hall of Fame are selected by a committee made up of the
following people:
- Pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel
- Principal of Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School
- Athletic Director
- Senior Head Coach who is not the Athletic Director
- Alumni chosen by the Principal
