High School Athletics

Mount Carmel High School is proud to sponsor fourteen interscholastic sports. Our men compete in the highly competitive MIAA (Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association). The MIAA consists of most of the private schools in the Baltimore area. Our men routinely compete against schools such as: Boys' Latin, Friends, Park, Concordia Prep, Severn, St. Mary's, Glenelg Country and Sts. Peter & Paul to name a few.  In the winter of 2011-2012 our men’s basketball team joined the Baltimore catholic League. Our women's teams compete in the IAAM (Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland) which consists of most of the private schools in the Baltimore area. Our ladies compete against schools such as: Mercy, IND, NDP, Seton Keough, Spalding, Mt. De Sales, Bryn Mawr, Maryvale, Roland Park, Catholic High, St. Mary's and Severn.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel has a certified athletic trainer at all home games and practices.  Our school has a team doctor affiliated with Johns Hopkins.  Our College Placement Program for student-athletes is overseen by Mr. Tom Rose, a former college coach and Associate Director of Admissions @ Goucher College.
