High School Athletics
Our Lady of Mt. Carmel High School is proud to sponsor fourteen interscholastic athletic programs. Our men's teams compete in the MIAA (Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association), an immensely competitive private school league which features majority of the top high school programs in the state. Our women's teams compete in the IAAM (Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland), the sister league of the MIAA, which governs all of the athletics for women's private school athletics.
Our high school athletics program is designed to accomplish a number of things that will directly benefit each student. In a fun, competitive, team environment, our athletics program is the perfect place for student to work hard, be a part of something, and have fun in the process. We work to develop each student-athlete on and off the field so they can be successful and reach their full potential. Another goal we have set is to prepare each athlete for college. We work to develop them to a level that college coaches look for, training their technical, physical, and mental abilities which will allow them to continue their athletic careers if they so choose.
The school WILL provide transportation to and from school for all away games. In addition we provide an athletic trainer on campus, to all of our athletes to assist with injuries, provide rehab, and advice for injury prevention. We also provide a college placement program for student-athletes, which is overseen by Mr. Tom Rose, a former college coach and Associate Director of Admissions at Goucher College.
Remember to follow us on social media for up-to-date scores, alerts, and other athletic information! #OLMCproud
