Elementary School

Primary - 1st, 2nd and 3rd Grades

Students in the primary grades develop reading, writing, phonics and language skills. Mathematics instruction focuses on basic skills. Religion, reading, phonics, handwriting, English, mathematics, spelling, science and social studies are taught daily in a self-contained classroom setting. Students receive specific instruction in art, music, physical education, and computer technology each week. Manipulatives and computer use enhance instruction. Teacher observation, homework, class work, and teacher-administered assessments evaluate student performance. Progress reports, interim reports, Power School information, and conferences provide evaluative information.
