Facilities Our Lady of Mount Carmel Elementary School

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Elementary School, built in 1925, is located in the residential area of Essex-Middle River. There are two floors of instructional and administrative areas including a Health Suite, Music room and art Room. A second wing provides eight additional instructional areas on two floors. There are two classrooms per grade level, an additional resource room for individual and small group instruction. Students have access to a full computer lab, mobile lap top lab, and library.

Students have a large, enclosed area for outdoor play, an enclosed playground and access to the soccer field for athletic activities. The gymnasium at Mt. Carmel High School is used for physical education classes and the school adjoins a 50-acre park. The church is located next to the elementary school, which makes regular mass attendance possible.
