A Letter from the Principal

 Dear Parents,

Welcome to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School!  It is my hope that your visit to our site gives you the facts you need to be informed about our school and also provides you with a sense of our spirit which is  fueled by faith, a mission  focused on the needs of our students, and a community that is best described by the word “family.”

Our middle school program is designed to support adolescents as they transition from 6th through 8th grade into high school.   To do this we attend to young men and women academically, spiritually, socially and emotionally as they move from childhood to young adulthood.  Academics is a priority at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and students are taught the skills they need to succeed and are inspired to develop a work ethic that will support their goals.  They are encouraged to always strive for excellence and develop good character and integrity along the way.  Our small school provides a nurturing and safe place for students to attempt new things and grow in confidence.  Students thrive in an atmosphere where respect for self, others, and the community is an expectation and a standard.  Our students, challenged to work for justice through service, are taught to be leaders who base decisions on Gospel values and have a desire to improve their community.

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel is a school that has many blessings.  The greatest blessings are clearly our students who so willingly contribute to our school with their many talents, hopes, and dreams.  Second to them, is the blessing of an expert and caring faculty whose members spend countless hours providing a Catholic education that is marked by competence, caring, and dedication to young people.   Parents partner with the faculty to create a team of caring adults who support our students as they gain knowledge, good judgment, and the courage to be themselves.

We hope that you are able to find all the information that you need.  Should you have additional questions please do not hesitate to contact us at the school directly.

Sincerely,

Christopher Ashby,
Principal – Middle School
