Religious Education at OLMC
All students at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel take theology classes every year. In grade nine, students study Catholicism and Hebrew Scriptures. In grade ten, students study the New Testament and Church History. In grade eleven, students study Morality and Social Justice. In grade twelve, all students study Christian Lifestyles and then select either Jesus in the Media or a World religions class.
As dictated by the Archdiocese of Baltimore, all students in grades eight, nine and twelve participate in the ACRE Assessment which attempts to measure their achievement in knowledge of faith.
