Phases of Capital Campaign

Phase I seeks to raise $3,000,000 to accomplish the following objectives:

Science and Technology Updates- $750,000

Families have asked that Catholic schools have more modern, up-to-date facilities, and we are responding. It is essential that we continue to ask what more can and should be done to better provide students and families with the highest quality Catholic education in a 21st Century Learning environment. 21st Century Learning is described as “student-centered learning” with proponents focusing on strengthening a student's ability to evaluate information and to combine that information with imagination and ingenuity to create something new and innovative.

  • Invest in new technology equipment such as Interactive Screens and Chromebooks.
  • Create two science labs (biology and chemistry), complete with updated equipment.
  • Implement an exploratory learning classroom for the perpetuation of STEM education.

Facilities Improvements - $2,000,000

Our Lady of Mount Carmel’s campus has served students since 1927. In order to continue educating current and future students, we must address the immediate and required facility needs on campus such as:

  • Gym (now The Activity Center) renovations to include air-conditioning and window tinting
  • Locker room refurbishment
  • Bathroom modifications
  • Dining Hall modernization (ceiling, lighting, seating, equipment)
  • Electrical updates including Lighting improvements across campus as well as additional HVAC improvements as well as Heating and Boiler repair
  • New doors for increased security

*Air-conditioning modifications will expand the use of the gym area, benefiting the entire community. Installing the HVAC unit in the gym will transform the area into a multi-purpose space to be utilized as a meeting area, a central location to enjoy programs and plays, and much more.

Tuition Assistance- $250,000

Our Lady of Mount Carmel has always made it a priority to welcome students from families who cannot afford full tuition. In recent years, however, requests for financial aid have risen dramatically, particularly among those families considered middle income. To keep our doors open to all capable, qualified students-particularly middle-income families- we must offer more scholarships and financial aid. Funding will be used to provide financial assistance for students who could otherwise not afford such an opportunity and to close the gap between tuition and actual cost to educate each student.

Future Phases will include...

  • Classroom improvements in all buildings (Flooring, carpeting, painting, and furniture)
  • Additional Electrical and Plumbing Updates including HVAC
  • Additional projects as deemed necessary

*These plans are contingent upon financial feasibility and fundraising success
