Great History Challenge Success at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School
Great History Challenge success at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School continues to showcase the academic excellence, determination, and intellectual curiosity of our students in Baltimore, Maryland.
We are incredibly proud of the students who participated in the Great History Challenge, a prestigious national academic competition that tests middle school students on their knowledge of world history, geography, and historical events. Each year, students from across the country compete in rigorous qualifying rounds for the opportunity to advance to regional and national competitions.
This year, 16 students from Our Lady of Mount Carmel School qualified for the regional competition — an outstanding achievement that reflects the strength of our academic programs and the dedication of our students and faculty.
OLMC Students Advance to Great History Challenge Nationals
Among those regional qualifiers, seven OLMC students advanced to the national competition in Columbus, Ohio, placing them among the top 1% of more than 50,000 student participants nationwide.
Competing on a national stage is an extraordinary accomplishment, and our students represented Our Lady of Mount Carmel School with confidence, intelligence, and grace throughout the competition.
We are especially proud to celebrate Vincent, who earned recognition as a finalist in the overall competition — a historic first for a Mount Carmel student in the Great History Challenge.
