Mount Carmel Chorus Performs at Partners in Excellence Breakfast

On September 30, 2025, the Archdiocese of Baltimore held its annual Partners in Excellence (PIE) Scholarship Breakfast at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture. This gathering of donors, educators, civic leaders, and students underscores the importance of philanthropic support for Catholic education in Baltimore and beyond. Among the many bright faces at the event, students from Our Lady of Mount Carmel School played a notable role — contributing to both the liturgical and cultural fabric of the morning’s program.

The PIE scholarship program, launched in 1996, exists to help families who desire a Catholic education for their children but face financial hurdles. Over the years, it has awarded more than $42 million in tuition aid and supported more than 31,200 scholarships.

At the breakfast, Archbishop William E. Lori reminded attendees that PIE “is an engine that makes [Catholic education] possible” for many families. The event also raised over $350,000 for the ongoing work of the scholarship program.
