Academic Enrichment
At Our Lady of Mount Carmel, our Middle School students are encouraged to grow as scholars, leaders, artists, athletes, and disciples of Christ. We believe that true learning extends far beyond the classroom—into experiences that challenge, inspire, and strengthen both the mind and the spirit.
Through our robust enrichment programs, students discover their passions, develop leadership skills, and live out their faith in meaningful ways. Every student has a place to belong and an opportunity to shine.
Faith and Service Opportunities
Faith is at the heart of everything we do at OLMC. Our Middle School students are invited to grow spiritually and serve as leaders in their faith through:
- Bible Study Group – Students gather weekly to explore Scripture, share reflections, and strengthen their relationship with God.
- Altar Serving – Students who wish to serve at Mass play a vital role in our liturgical celebrations, deepening their connection to the Church.
- Cantoring – Musically gifted students share their voices in worship by serving as cantors at school and parish Masses, helping lead the community in prayer and song.
These opportunities allow students to live out their Catholic values and develop a strong moral foundation rooted in compassion, service, and faith.
After-School Clubs and Activities
After the school day ends at 3:00 p.m., OLMC comes alive with an exciting lineup of student-led clubs guided by teacher advisors. These activities encourage teamwork, creativity, and exploration across a wide range of interests.

Past destinations have included New York City, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Sight & Sound Theatre, Broadway, and local Baltimore historical sites. These adventures foster curiosity, cultural appreciation, and a deeper understanding of the world around them
Building Leaders for Life
Through faith-based programs, academic challenges, artistic expression, and athletic teamwork, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Middle School students are given every opportunity to thrive. Whether they’re performing on stage, leading prayer, designing robots, or serving their community, our Cougars learn what it means to lead with integrity, think creatively, and live with purpose.
